I've had a long career as a business operations turnaround and continuous improvement expert, having spent most of my career in manufacturing, logistics and supply chain operations on a global scale.
My articles and stories are mostly written through the lens of "risk intelligence" - a different and more contemplative way of looking at risk management and uncertainty.
My true passion is global travel, having visited over 120 countries (including living and working in thirty of them). For me, the best part of travel is to assimilate with the local culture (i.e., live where they live, eat what they eat, etc.), adhering to local customs, culture and practices.
I strive to assimilate my travel experiences into my writing whenever I can. One of my favorite avocations is teaching ESL/TEFL & other subjects in foreign countries, as it allows me to not only immerse myself in my students' lives and culture, but to provide me personal and business connections wherever I travel.
When the muse strikes me, I like to articulate my views on the national condition, international politics and foreign affairs, and perhaps throw in a satirical take or two.
